Who we are

This privacy statement applies to the website shazzoo.nl. We handle your personal data with care and process no more than necessary. Below you can read which data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

What data we process

When you fill in the contact form
We ask for your name, email address and your message. You may also give your company name, phone number and the subject of your question if you wish. We only use this data to answer your question and, if you want, to schedule a meeting with you.
Legal basis: the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a possible agreement (pre-contractual stage), and our legitimate interest in answering questions from visitors.

When you email or call us
We process the data you give us yourself, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message, so that we can help you.

When you visit the website
Our server and our security service record technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is necessary to make the website work, to secure it and to prevent misuse.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and properly functioning website.

We do not use analytics tools that track your visit, we do not show advertisements and we do not sell your data to third parties. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Cookies

This website only places cookies that are necessary to make the website work and to secure it. No consent is required for these.

  • laravel-session: remembers your session while you use the website. Expires after about two hours.
  • XSRF-TOKEN: protects forms, such as the contact form, against misuse. Expires after about two hours.
  • __cf_bm: placed by Cloudflare to recognise bots and protect the website. Expires after 30 minutes.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

We only share your data with parties that help us run the website, and only to the extent necessary. We have made agreements with these parties about the security and confidentiality of your data.

  • Hosting: the website runs on servers of our hosting provider.
  • Cloudflare: protects the website against attacks and makes it faster. To do so, Cloudflare processes your IP address, among other things.
  • Email: messages sent through the contact form reach us by email, through our email service.

Sometimes we are legally required to provide data, for example to a government authority. We only do so when we must.

Data outside the European Economic Area
Cloudflare is an American company. If your data is processed outside the EEA as a result, this only happens with appropriate safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we collected it.

  • We keep data from the contact form and from emails for as long as necessary to handle your question. If we start working together, we keep it for the duration of that cooperation, and afterwards for as long as the law requires, for example for our accounting.
  • We keep technical data and server logs for a short time, only as long as needed for security and to resolve problems.
  • Cookies expire after the periods stated above.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS), and only employees who need the data for their work have access to it.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:

  • Access: you may know which data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Rectification: if your data is incorrect, we will correct it.
  • Erasure: you can ask us to delete your data.
  • Restriction: you can ask us to temporarily restrict the use of your data.
  • Objection: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Data portability: you can receive your data in a common, digital format or have it sent to another party.

Would you like to exercise one of these rights? Email us at contact@shazzoo.nl. It costs you nothing. We respond as soon as possible, and always within one month. To make sure we do not give data to the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm who you are.

Filing a complaint
Are you not satisfied with how we handle your data? Let us know, and we will look for a solution together. You also always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

We may change this privacy statement, for example when the website changes. The date of the last change is shown on this page. We recommend that you check this statement from time to time.
